Orihuela Costa Area Guide

Orihuela Costa is the coastal region of the ancient city of Orihuela, which is located approximately 20km inland.

The 16km long stretch of coast is just to the south of Torrevieja and covers a variety of well known towns including Punta Prima, Playa Flamenca, La Zenia, Cabo Roig and Campoamor.  The region has flourished over the last 40 years and development has been prolific to keep pace with demand.

The area benefits from countless Blue Flag beaches as well as three marinas at Cabo Roig, Campoamor and Torre De La Horadada.  Golf has also played an important part in the development of tourism in the area with amazing courses located at Villamartin, Las Ramblas, Campoamor and Las Colinas.

For those who enjoy retail therapy, the spectacular Zenia Boulevard Commercial Centre which opened in 2012 is the largest shopping mall in the Alicante province.  There are over 120 shops and outlets as well as 27 restaurants and cafes.  These combined with leisure and entertainment areas ensure a good family day out.

The area is home to over 100 nationalities ensuring a good cultural mix.  

For nightlife, we recommend a visit to the Cabo Roig strip, which is home to some of the best bars and live music venues on the Costa Blanca.

The area can be reached in a 40 minute drive from Alicante or Murcia Airports.
