Finestrat

Finestrat Area Guide

Set on the side of the Puig Campana mountain with amazing views to the coast, the town of Finestrat is just 12 kilometers inland from Benidorm.

The first settlers lived in the many caves dotted around the mountain approximately 20,000 years ago. Being a high vantage point with views to the coast made the location popular with the many cultures that followed and each has left its own influences on the town.

Modern day Finestrat is a bustling town popular with holidaymakers and residents alike.

Finestrat provides a peaceful and relaxing setting, just a 15 minute drive from the amenities of Benidorm.
In the area surrounding the town, you can find a selection of golf courses, resort hotels and the Terra Mitica and Terra Natura Theme Parks, both of which are definitely worth a visit.

Unusually for a town set high on a mountain, Finestrat also has a very small stretch of coastline. La Cala De Finestrat is just 267 metres long but was given to the town by the Spanish government as a thank you for their help fighting pirates.  It has a lovely beach and a great selection of bars and restaurants, ideal for people watching.
